George Garrigues has been digging up news stories for a long time, having  inherited his newsprint-infused DNA from his journalist father.  He wrote a book about his dad which you can find  here: He has worked as a reporter for the Los Angeles   Times,  the Inglewood Daily News, Ontario (California) Daily Report. He was a journalism professor at several universities, and he worked in public information for the State of California and the  International  Labor Organization (Geneva, Switzerland).

George Garrigues

Author, story hunter, historian

In recent years, Garrigues has developed a passion for history,  In addition to his books for City Desk Publishing, he has written numerous articles on California history as well as a history of the community of Palms in Los Angeles, California, available here.

City Desk Publishing was created in 2016, when Garrigues realized  there were undiscovered stories and journalistic nuggets just waiting to be brought to light to a new generation of readers.
